Today was Morgs 6 month check up at the dentist and it is clear to me that later appointments are not good for her. She cooperated as much as she had to - but those back teeth will once again go without x-rays and that fluoride foam - yeah, who needs that anyway.
AND THEN, there was an older girl in one of the chairs near the exam area having an involved procedure - she was kind of screeching and such which led Morgan to question - what exactly are they doing to her??? Mainly for the purpose of figuring out if they soon would be inflicting that same torture upon her. I assured her she was safe, but did use it as an opportunity to remind the importance of brushing teeth (sorry to the girl for using her pain as an example and for assuming bad brushing techniques on her part).
She walked away with an A+, no cavities, and her prize box finds. We'll be back again in 6 months - perhaps she'll be more willing next time - perhaps....
