I promised Morgan on Sunday that she could paint today (Monday) and being that she has a steel trap of a brain I was reminded almost first thing. Right after breakfast I swept the art area (aka our patio) and set up an outside artist station. Since paint was the order of the day I clipped up two large pictures and set a side station with paint tray, water, brushes, and such.
She also had chalk, crayons, and markers - so many options, so little time. She loved the opportunity to be outside and it's nice to not have to worry about misplaced paint. She spent all day in and out of the house, opting to even have her dinner outside so she could finish coloring one of the pictures.
