Do you ever have those days...

...weeks, months.. etc... that just get SO busy you don't know whether you are coming or going? Yep, that about sums up "our" lives lately. I had been thinking yesterday about how I have severely neglected this blog and then came an email prompt to get me into gear. :-) 

 

The only technical difficulties thus far have been my inability to put fingers to keyboard / brain to spew out some words. Now, I have a few theories, (1) my hibernation reasoning from last year ACTUALLY applies and I require a period of posting sabbatical each year (2) things have really just been that busy (3) I subconsciously like the build up of suspense.... 

I think at the end of the day it's really all because of reason 2, that leads to reason 1. So with all of that blah blah blahing... I shall attempt to write again (until next year around mid-Feb - ha ha). 

ANYHOW... us (more importantly Morgan): 

Is still amazingly smart and cute and awesome... :-)  She is doing really well in school and is now a fully capable reader. She is reading Level 1 and 2 books with relative ease; her new favorite request is to ask if she can read to me (and I kind of like the change of pace, being read to is lovely). It is always crazy how quickly kids do things; reading has proven to be just like walking, talking etc... one day a few words, the next whole sentences. 

Sold a little over 400 boxes of cookies during this GS season! Now, this does include her time spent at booth sales. And, wow did we spend a lot of time - pretty much every weekend from the end of February to the first in April was spent at a cookie booth. Needless to say, my taste for them diminished quite a bit between the start and end (although the freezer houses a few for later when taste receptors welcome them again). 

Went on VACATION to San Diego. A full one-week vacation, which has not happened in a very long time. We just got back and readjusting to daily tasks has definitely gone better for her than me. I keep telling myself "tomorrow  you will definitely be 100% focused again". (an independent vacation post will come later). 

..and much, much more... I will try to keep up from here forward. Unfortunately I was at a point of somethings gotta give, and so the blog won the prize. Frankly "something" still has to give, but I'm seeking some higher guidance on that one. I do wonder though - is it possible to not be busy???
